green + beautiful
Wow, friends! Thanks for all the shoe love. I want to wear them so badly, but cannot since my area is buried in at least a foot of snow.
I wanted to share the following blog with you all. It is the wedding blog Style Me Pretty, and the most beautiful one I have seen. I use it for daily inspiration of the beautiful.
Today they are featuring a green wedding and I love the way she has used old mason, jars, tin cans, and everyday objects in such a classy beautiful way. These pictures are from the wedding planner Alice Charlier.
not to make you jealous or anything
I went shoe shopping yesterday and there were such good deal I got three, and I am basically in love. Are these not the cutest shoes you have ever seen? The red ones remind me of Marie Antoinette, which is such an extravagantly beautiful movie. I love the visual candy of it. So here is to my own foot candy.
love
In the new issue of Real Simple Magazine, there is an article titled Love Letters. A couple writes each other a love letter, kind of a chronological history of their love.
The husbands letter ends with the following:
“It’s for you,” said my housemate nearly two decades ago, holding out the phone, looking frazzled. She didn’t say who you were or explain your offer. She just wanted to pass you on and get back to her work.
Happy to oblige, I stood up and took the phone, “Hello? I said, to my life.
Love, Dan
just finished
I just finished reading this, which I would not recommend. I kept waiting for it to get good. I guess it is good because it gets the autistic mind right, but that is not something I am looking for. Perhaps if I had read it with that in mind, it would have been better for me.
However, there is this quote that I found humorous, “But Siobhan said we have to use those words because people used to call children like the children at school spaz and crip and mong, which were nasty words. But that is stupid too because sometimes the children from the school down the road see us in the street when we’re getting off the bus and they shout, “Special Needs! Special Needs!” But I don’t take any notice because I don’t listen to what other people say and only sticks and stones can break my bones and I have my Swiss Army knife if they hit me and if I kill them it will be self-defense and I won’t go to prison.”
Sometimes I feel like that as well.

lost + found
I found this today. Kind of a fun + quirky website filled with things people find that other people have lost. Entrancing.
