I have the strangest dreams.
On Monday we went to the zoo with jj’s family. The night before, Sunday, I dreamed about alligators, but the dream had a Jaws theme. My alarm finally went off, but every time I hit snooze the dream continued. That never happens for me, the dream usually end when the alarm goes off and then a new one begins.
A few days before that I dreamed about one of jj’s coworkers. I know his coworkers because I go to trade shows and we hang out and go to dinner with some of them occasionally. I chat online with a few of them. That afternoon I dreamed about the same coworker. It must have been a Sunday, those are the only days I get naps.
A few days before that I dreamed about this bug. I found this guy through a group on flickr. In my dream the bug was under my skin in my left index finger. I could see it moving up and down and all around in my finger. I had a tourniquet hold on my finger I did not want the bug to get anywhere else. Eventually I worked it to the tip and popped it out. By popped I mean it flew across the room.
There is also the dream I had about Gentry before I was even considering getting pregnant. I dreamed of a little blond boy. He held my hand and was helping me to be good. He wanted me to be good so much.
And the night before I had the ultra sound on Gentry, I dreamed about a little girl. She was probably five and looked just like me when I was five. She had long brown hair in a pony tail and a red polka dot shirt. We were at my Aunt Adele’s house and she wanted me to hold her hand and go somewhere with her.

I bought the following illustrations from millymollymandy, an etsy shop. They came so quickly from London and I love them.

I am so excited to hang these illustrations. A poetic series of a girl and tree in the four seasons.

Yesterday there was a college graduation and a wedding to attend. I am happy for the many great accomplishments.
I am also happy to have had a chocolate apple from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.
We arrived home at about 11 last night and the boy was OUT! Practically comatose. We tried earlier in the day to get him a nap at Aubrey and Travis’ house. We called them after about an hour of having been there. They went down to check on him and he was busy licking his bed.
Take a nap? Lick my bed?
Take a nap? Lick my bed?
I think the choice is obvious.
When we got him home, we wiped him down, changed his diaper, changed his clothes and put him in bed all while he was asleep.
It was a long, good day.

One of my favorite necklaces. It was originally Grandma Katherine’s.

In high school I sang a song with the line:
May God hold you in his hand
I was thinking about this today.
If he is hold us in his hand…
and he shakes it up…
is it like shaking up a jar of spiders?
